Worried Of Tomorrow
" Worried about tomorrow? "
When you are worried about tomorrow; it's an alien tradition, and God knew it.
" Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. (Mat 6:31) "
But if you want God to be your Father and provide your needs, Jesus said;
" But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (Mat 6:33)
Like the king Solomon story: Read this;
" Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great? 11 And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king: 12 Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like. (2Ch 1:10) "
In this age, through the great knowledge and wisdom of the kingdom of God and of his righteousness, we may receive the exceeding richness of his gift.
1. What is lack to you then if you have great spiritual understanding?
" Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: (Eph 1:3) "
2. What is lack to you then if you have godliness with contentment?
" But godliness with contentment is great gain. 1 Tim 6:6 "
Are you not greater than Solomon?
But through Christ we are. As written;
" The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here. (Mat 12:42)
" For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. (1Co 2:16)"
" That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. (Eph 2:7 ) "
